Wisbech Swimming Club Results Senior Fenland League 8th July 2006
Wisbech Swimming Clubs last gala before summer break was the Senior Fenland League hosted by Kings Lynn on Saturday 8th July 2006. In true Wisbech style all swimmers performed excellently producing some great results for a very exciting gala despite fierce opposition. Two swimmers had a superb gala swimming to victory in all three of their individual events, Laura Pattern 14/u 100 Ind Medley 1.17.09, 14/u 100m butterfly 1.14.56, 14/u 100m freestyle 1.05.92 and Helen Brown 12/u 50m backstroke 39.19 pb, 12/u 50m breaststroke 44.44, 12/u 50m butterfly 39.63. Ellen Williams led the 12/u 100m Ind. Medley 1.21.76 from the start finishing in first place in personal best time, as did breaststroke partners Jodie Hopkisson 1.26.39 and Dale Brown 1.12.97 both taking first place in the open 100m breaststroke in personal best times, Ryan Johnson also swam to first place in the 14/u 100m butterfly 1.15.37. Special mention goes to Kate Newton and Millie Hopkisson swimming for the team in their first club galas.

Third Place – Harley Hollis 12/u 50m breaststroke 50.92, Rosie Manning 14/u 100m backstroke 1.32.37, Sophie Harrington open 100m butterfly 1.23.81 and open 100m backstroke 1.22.58 pb, Soloman Prestidge open 100m backstroke 1.12.59, Lucy Ryan open 100m Ind Medley 1.17.99, Leanne Mohhammed open 100m freestyle 1.09.39.
Relays: first place - Helen Brown, Danielle Goodley, Leah Harrington and Ellen Williams 12/u free relay, Ryan Johnson, Tom Williams, Matthew Jakeman and Sam Johnson 14/u free relay. Second Place – Chloe Goodley, Kate, Leah and Millie 10/u free relay, Lucy, Jodie, Sophie and Leanne open free relay and Chloe, Jake Hopkisson, Ellen, Jamie, Laura, Ryan, Lucy and Dale in the Cannon relay.
Others swimming at the gala included Harry Johnson, Eilish Quinn, Andrew Jakeman, Mark Hopkisson and Rory Willis.
